INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE FOR MOOD AND ANXIETY DISORDERS – PART 2. 

MICRO-NUTRIENTS, VITAMINS, AND MINERALS

Presenter: Dr. David Mooney, NCSS Medical Director

This is the second in a series of Grand Rounds sessions in which Dr. Mooney will address Integrative Psychiatry.

This lecture will discuss micro-nutrients, vitamins, and minerals involved in the integrative therapy treatment of depression. Vitamin B12 and folate, as well as trace minerals, magnesium and zinc will be discussed. Research will be reviewed looking at how deficiency of these nutrients relates to mood and anxiety disorders.
