Matt Habedank takes on new role at NCSS; continues long career in early childhood and school-based services

Matt Habedank, director of Early Childhood and School-Based Services, stands in his office at NCSS. Habedank was introduced to working with kids through his father, a camp director. He started at NCSS as a teacher in 2003.

ST. ALBANS — Twenty-one years into his career at Northwestern Counseling and Support Services, Matt Habedank is the new director of the Early Childhood and School-Based Services Division.

Habedank started at NCSS as a teacher at Soar Learning Center, a school for students in need of additional behavioral and clinical support. Climbing the ranks over the years led him to this new position, where he oversees all of NCSS’ early intervention and school-focused programs.

“It’s funny to think of myself as being the right person to sit in this chair,” he said. “But given the direction we’re headed and what this position encompasses, it feels right.” Read more…
